About this print, the artist writes: Hiking in the Sierra is always full of surprises, never the same twice, no matter how many times you've seen the same scene. The feeling when this unexpected, soft fade into a glorious dusk unfolded before me was best summed up by John Muir: “This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.”
