Little Swaying Lantern
Pastel, graphite and colored pencil on wove paper.
In the words of the artist:
The silhouette's architecture resembles a hanging metal Moroccan lantern. Having travelled to Morocco, the use of pastel colored glass is everywhere in the architecture from windows to the lanterns. When the lanterns are illuminated, they cast a prism of pastels on the walls, ceilings and floors.
