Chances are that this alpine looking valley is actually inspired by a Scottish landscape. Quoting the artist as she speaks of Scotland: "I love the structure of the hills and mountains against the ephemeral weather and light". While the stones in the foreground show their "weight", compositionally speaking, the rest of the landscape seems to float, ethereally.
