Judith Westcott, one of Pine's members notes:

Incoming waves break and then retreat, leaving a patch of sand washed clean below the ridge of pebbles.
Morning Light is printed from the same blocks as Shorebreak but the pebbles are treated differently to give a more weighted feeling to the base of the print.
